Dahlberg Farms is located on the California Central Coast amidst the countryside, surrounded by an overabundance of fresh air, green grass, rolling hills and ocean breezes. Dahlberg Farms goal is to effectively breed Thoroughbred racehorses in a professional and safe environment. We are commercial breeders and all of our product is exposed to the open market and annual yearling sales. We are proud to have young experienced, forward thinking staff. We stand no stallions, our farm function and design is for the sole purpose of providing quality care for mares, foals and yearlings. Situated on 70 lush acres, our ranch is home to our broodmares, foals, yearlings, retired race horses, work horses, manager and staff, and our golden retrievers Winchester and Shotgun. The ranch is also our home. We consider ourselves so fortunate to live in these surroundings and wouldn't have it any other way as this type of residency allows us to give the ranch 100% of our attention. When purchasing the ranch, soil conditions, water quality, value and size were of great importance. Keeping consistent with our business plan, we felt the conservative size of the ranch would also keep it more manageable and make it possible to give special, personal attention to each mare, foal and yearling. Our ranch encompasses thirteen irrigated pastures of 1-6 acres each enclosed by safe steel pipe and no climb wire, a state of the art foaling barn, ten individual sun pens, feed and equipment barn and an auxiliary barn consisting of 3 stalls. Our ranch is known for its healthy deep pasture program and we limit the number of horses in each pasture to keep the pastures maintained to their best condition. This and many other factors are quickly making Dahlberg Farms one of California's first rate Thoroughbred breeding facilities. We would like to extend an invitation to you to visit Dahlberg Farms.
