Dahlberg Farms Nursery
A Happy Healthy Mare Produces a Happy Healthy Foal.
Dahlberg Farms is dedicated to the physical, social and mental development
of young horses. We offer an environment that provides for a safe and
healthy foaling process. This starts with the prenatal care of the
mare, plenty of sunshine and exercise and an extensive nutritional
program that is adjusted on a regular basis according to the individual
needs. The weanlings and yearlings run in spacious green pastures segregated
according to age and sex so they can socialize with their peers while
developing a strong heart, bones and muscles as they run and play.
We gauge the population to one acre per horse to keep the pastures
maintained in their best condition. Each individual horse is given
the attention needed to showcase his/her special attributes. We halter
break and groom daily and help them develop the manners needed to be
at their best when they are presented at the sales. By the time they
are yearlings, they have had all the tender loving care possible. The
rest is up to their natural athletic ability. When yearlings leave
Dahlberg Farms, they are physically and mentally ready for their formal
training.
